break the pieces and glue them backPaper-Clouds.org was given to me on the 21st of August, 2008 (and bought on the same day), thanks to my amazing friend, Joanne. Not only is it a domain, but also the full package! How it happened: We were talking about domains and she asked me what domain names I was likely to get if I ever were to get one. At that moment, she created the domain and gave it to me. As crazy as I thought she was, Joanne is a fabulous person and I can never ever thank her enough for everything she has done for me and asking so little in return. I've always dreamed of owning a domain. This is my first domain, but of course, not my first time into webdesigning. That was back in 2004-2005 where I simply started at a simple blog before actually moving to my domain (or previous hosted subdomains). I wanted a domain in order to create fansites since I never felt like I had the right to make them in my fanlisting collectives. And I'm hoping having a domain will motivate me to finish them, too! There isn't much history behind the domain name. I believe out of the four or five domain names I told Joanne, I think Paper-clouds.org was the best one. There's always something really neat about putting nature and articial words together. As for The Sky Doodles Network, since clouds associate with the sky and doodles with paper, I clashed it together to make it the network name. i feel alive for the very first timeDon't your just love all that pink? And yes, this layout represents Valentine's Day and also, somewhat White's Day which is celebrated on March 14. Pretty much the fourth version to grace this domain is a simple vector of a stock photo I found. I was really fond of how the whole concept worked so I decided to use it for my latest domain design.
The original scan was taken from WeHeartIt. I originally wanted to use the scan without vectoring, while clashing it with several other stock photo, but to my disappointment, it did not work out. Anyway, I do love the final result. But there's too much pink though (haha)! The layout was designed for the LOVE! Marathon. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and was coded with Notepad++. Fonts used on the design are Just Me Again Down Here, Museo, P22 Vincent, and HyonnakotokaraAL. The layout is optimized for Mozilla Firefox 3.0 with a 1024x768 screen resolution or higher. TAKE A LOOK AT THE DESIGN ARCHIVE? |
